Wahoo has made it our goal to demystify heart rate training because there’s no quicker way to see results than to integrate a heart rate monitor into your workouts. No Zones. No Math. Just two simple choices to help you reach your goals faster. Wahoo Fitness’s in-house physiologists have taken the traditional ‘five-zone approach’ to heart rate training and reduced it to two key heart rate numbers. The Burn, which is the heart rate at which your body utilizes fat as the primary fuel source; and The Burst, the recommended heart rate that should be maintained for short durations to improve speed and performance. Wahoo has created Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Burn and Burst training plans customized to your individual skill level and fitness goals.
Connects with Popular Apps
The TICKR connects wirelessly to your smartphone and delivers accurate real-time heart rate data through the free Wahoo Fitness App. Addtionally, the TICKR connects directly to any of over 50 other popular fitness Apps, including Endomondo, Strava, RunKeeper, MapMyRun, Cyclemeter, and MapMyRun/ MapMyRide. All Wahoo products are designed to work seamlessly with the top fitness Apps – you choose which App is best for you.
iPhone and Select Android Compatibility
The TICKR works with iPhone 4S and later, iPod Touch (5th generation and later), and the new iPad (3rd and 4th generations). The TICKR also works with select Android devices that contain both Bluetooth 4.0 capabilities and the 4.3 Android Operating System or later. The TICKR sends and receives signals up to 10 feet, and records data even when the Bluetooth receiver communication is interrupted, so you don’t miss any important metrics. Please note that this device will not work with the iPhone 3G, 3GS or 4, or any Android device running Android 4.2 or earlier.
Direct Upload to Training Sites
The Wahoo Fitness App allows you to share and upload your workout data to popular training websites such as TrainingPeaks, MapMyRUN, Nike+, Garmin Connect or Strava so you can track your fitness over time and share with friends. You can also email your workout data to yourself or your coach.
How It Works
TICKR setup is super easy. Wrap the strap around your back, and snap the sensor into place. Make sure that the sensor is located on your sternum or just below your breasts, and that the Wahoo logo is facing up. Download and open the Wahoo Fitness App or one of dozens of compatible Apps. Pair the TICKR within the App’s settings menu. Now you are ready to work out.

- IPX7 Certified – Submersible up to 5 feet. However, wireless signal will not transmit while underwater.
